Many small businesses and home users want to produce professional results from their own computers. The Canon i350 inkjet printer will enable this and more. Slightly higher in price than its junior model, the i350 brings significantly more to the plate. Much better resolution and the ability to produce 4" x 6" and 5" x 7" borderless prints with Exif technology is one example. The same size as the i250, it will produce black prints at 16 pages per minute and 11 for color printer ink. It is not designed for high volume, but it will fit nicely into a small office environment.

Because computer accessories tend to overcrowd desktops, the Canon i350 is built to a trimmed down size of 15.2" x 7.7" x 6.5" to minimize this. The Canon i350 ink cartridges, which snap in, are simple to use. Resolution of up to 4800 x 1200 dpi is achieved with a state-of-the-art print head. Though small outwardly, it will adapt to most 8.5" print media including paper, envelopes, transparencies and glossy photo paper. The Canon i350 ink cartridges are specially formulated to provide page yields of up to 270 pages for black and 130 for color printer ink.

It is a "plug and play" type of printer that requires a USB interface. Platform requirements include Windows 98 and up and Mac 8.1 and up with sufficient processor speed to work efficiently. Software included has various photo, driver and template disks to maximize efficiency and optimize results. The Canon i350 ink cartridges are the same as the i250.

PC magazine compared the Canon i350 inkjet printer to its sister model the i250. The resulting review observed that though both printers were great, this unit is more than worth the $20 higher price tag because of its many more features. As usual, Canon provides so much for so little that its competitors must wonder how they do it.
