The Canon Multipass F60 is a multi-functioning inkjet unit that is designed for small business use but lacks faxing capabilities. Even though it has a scanner, copier and color printer, most offices would usually opt to have a multi-purpose that can also fax to eliminate the need for a separate device. The F60 produces high quality prints for its age, though is outdated in comparison to more recent models. It has a maximum output rate of 13 pages per minute using color Canon F60 ink and 20 pages per minute in color. It copies at the same rates.

The scanner feature has a maximum interpolated resolution of 9600 dpi and a 36-bit internal color depth. Copies have a maximum resolution of 1200x1200 dpi in color Canon MultiPass F60 ink, and prints have a maximum resolution of 2400x1200 dpi. The F60 has the capacity to print on various sizes of paper including letter, legal, a4, 4x6, banner and envelope. When printing directly from a memory card with no PC, this unit can make nearly flawless 4x6, 8x5 and 11 inch borderless color photos.

The printer ink comes in four separate tanks, making replacements easy to find and install. The replacement Canon F60 ink cartridges can be bought directly from the manufacturer or compatible options can be found from third party vendors. Using the MicroFine Droplet Technology, Canon F60 ink is finely ejected per inch onto the page by hundreds of nozzles. This Think Tank System consists of cyan, magenta, yellow and black MultiPass F60 ink cartridges and has an intelligent alert to let users know when printer ink is low.
