The Canon imageCLASS D560 multifunction laser printer brings some of the most useful large-office features into the home or small office, along with fast speeds of up to 26 pages per minute. It can handle printing, scanning, and copying, with PC faxing, and the use of inexpensive Canon D560 printer toner makes it very economical.
The D560 tends to be a little more expensive than some comparable models, but offers a bit more speed and more features. Its size is average for its class, and it should be compact enough for desktop use. The little extra bulk pays off, with extras like the 50-sheet automatic document feeder adding a lot of extra functionality, and it supports duplex scanning as well.
The control panel is simple, but effective, with a three-line LCD screen providing adequate feedback for users to navigate menus and control the different functions. Since PC Faxing is handled through the computer, many extra buttons like a number pad can be eliminated. Users can monitor the status of the printer from the control panel itself or from the included software, keeping tabs on things like the paper supply and the imageCLASS D560 toner levels.
A Toner Save mode is available, which can stretch the useful life of toners and delay the need for replacements. When a new Canon D560 toner cartridge is needed, users will find the cost very affordable. The imageCLASS D560 toner cartridges also come in large capacities of up to 2,100 pages, which is surprising for a compact model.
If color output is not a concern, and affordable monochrome printing and copying is what buyers are after, the D560 is a solid solution. Its purchase price might seem a little high, but the low cost of Canon D560 toner will eventually make up for it in savings.

The Canon imageCLASS D560 offers laser printing, copying, and scanning, without a lot of extra bulk. Its affordable price tag makes it perfect for small offices, but a 50-sheet document feeder can handle serious workloads. With print speeds of up to 26 pages per minute, it is one of the quickest laser models in its price range.
Although the model shown differs slightly in appearance, the process is the same.
Lift up on the top panel, from right below the control panel. Then raise the second toner panel to access the Canon D560 toner cartridge. Pull it by its handle, lifting up and out.
Prepare the new imageCLASS D560 toner cartridge by removing it carefully from the box, the packing materials, and the plastic bag. Rock the cartridge from side to side to loosen the toner and redistribute it.
You must remove the packing tape before use by looping one finger inside and pulling it out of the cartridge. Pull the black paper in the direction the arrow is pointing to remove it as well.
With the Canon imageCLASS D560 cartridge prepared, slide it into the opening and press it firmly into place. Lower the toner panel, then lower the entire top panel.
You are now ready to resume printing with your Canon imageCLASS D560 printer.
