The Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5240 is a versatile multifunction color laser copier and printer, which also includes excellent scanning and faxing functions. Its color output quality is excellent, and it can reach speeds of up to 40 pages per minute for monochrome and 35 pages per minute in color. The purchase price of the C5240 is high enough that it will only appeal to larger offices, if its bulky design didn't do it already. Buyers do get quite a bit of customization, however, with finishing options and other upgrades available. Despite its business-centric design, there are a number of elements borrowed from consumer machines. The large full-color 8.4 inch touch screen provides colorful icons that make it easy to navigate. A USB memory port makes printing from flash memory devices simple, and there is an option for memory card slots as well, which allows users to pull a card out of a digital camera and insert it right into the device.

Toners come in a tubular shape that makes them easy to replace, and there are four total Canon C5240 toner cartridges used at one time.
