If the office is in need of a large multi-functioning machine, the Canon imageRUNNER C5030 may be worth consideration. Offering color laser prints that are fast and sophisticated, it will fit perfectly in a large office needing to produce a lot of documents every single day. Able to print, fax, copy and scan, there's not too much that this equipped unit can't handle. Though upon purchase it comes with 2 GB of RAM that can always be expanded to 2.5 GB, as can the hard disk drive from 80 GB to 250 GB. Windows, Mac and Citrix operating systems are all compatible with the C5030.

While USB and ethernet connections are both offered, users may be more attracted to the unit's ability to print wirelessly and network. Supported direct connection types include SD cards, SDHC cards, CompactFlash discs and Memory Sticks. Because it is a color laser printer, four imageRUNNER C5030 toner cartridges will be needed for printing. These are filled with either black, cyan, magenta or yellow printer toner. Though these toners are somewhat expensive when the OEM product is purchased, the remanufactured replacement Canon C5030 toner is very affordable all around.

When printing and copying using Canon C5030 toner cartridges, up to 35 pages per minute can be produced. Though those speeds are pretty fast, there are some similar machines that can pump out even quicker speeds. However the 1200x1200 dpi resolutions, thanks to imageRUNNER C5030 toner, it can produce when printing and copying may be worth a little lag time.

The fax abilities are relatively strong too. The modem speed, for instance, is a very fast 33.6 Kbps, meaning it will take only a few seconds for faxes to be sent and received. Resolutions as high as 400x400 dpi are even possible. Overall, when it comes to this unit there aren't too many complaints.
