The maximum monthly duty cycle for this laser device is 60,000 prints, which should be more than sufficient for small to medium size offices. The largest paper size that can be pulled through the C400 is 11x17 inches and up to 4,000 sheets can be held in the paper trays. Automatic duplex printing is another available option, which allows dual-sided printing without the need for manual intervention, ultimately reducing paper costs and preserving time.
As many as 15,000 prints can be generated from a single Canon C400 toner cartridge, limiting the overall cost per page. When the printer toner begins to run low, the LED light alert system will begin blinking, informing users that it is time to start shopping for replacement toners. Canon C400 toner cartridges can be purchased from various online vendors as well as the manufacturer.
The internal resolution created when scanning is 1200x600 dpi, but the external averages about 600x600 dpi using the Canon C400 toner. This quality will consistently deliver professional-quality documents, though graphics may not be crystal clear. Up to 40 pages per minute can be produced, which does not deter from the overall quality produced by the Canon C400 toner. Affordability is another important characteristic of the C400, allowing work groups with limited budgets to be able to have such a powerful office machine.
