Canon BJC-4550 Printer Review
As one of the last of the BJC4000 series, the BJC4550 was a stepping stone model that gave way to the BJC5000 series. It allowed for larger format printing. The Canon BJC4000 ink is common to the other printers in this series. Designed with higher-end home use and small business applications as a market, this printer remained small but larger than the BJC4400.
With the BJC5000 series on the horizon, the Canon BJC4550 ink cartridges are the same as the older models. The BJC4550 allowed for an 11 x 17-inch posters and banners to be printed. To make this accommodation, the BJC4550 grew in size to 19.6 x 11.04 x 8.74 inches and 12.3 pounds. A wide variety of media and 720x360 dpi resolution expanded capabilities.
The Canon BJC4550 inkjet cartridges have a page yield of 900 pages for black and 100 for color in standard-size paper. Photo results are good. At the time of production, the ability to print A3 prints wasn't available in this class of printers. Parallel hookups were still the interface of choice and Windows and Mac were the platforms supported. Photo and printer setup software comes with the printer.
A favorable review from PCPro.com described the BJC4550 inkjet printer as a good buy for its A3 capabilities, slight weak color output and its lower price than HP. In addition, the reviewer called it a little noisy but praised the performance and price.
Canon's BJC4550 was well received well and for those who want a good, solid print machine and aren't too concerned with perfection, this printer should meet mainstream requirements for reliable performance. Costs are good and the easy-to-find inkjet cartridges are a benefit to the home user.

Warranty for Compatible/Remanufactured Products
Based on our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, Ink Technologies will accept returns of compatible or remanufactured ink and toner cartridges for full credit if the returned product has a valid return authorization number and is received in our warehouse within 6 months of the original shipping date. If there is a confirmed print quality issue, only 1 set of opened products will be accepted for credit returns, and only if less than 30% of the ink or toner has been used.
Ink Technologies will replace defective compatible or remanufactured products free of charge if the products are returned within 1 year of the original ship date, and provide a return shipping tag for return of the product.
