In a home office or dorm room, it is important to have a machine that can be relied on to handle any tasks that appear. The Canon Multipass 800 has the ability to handle basic printing, scanning, copying and faxing needs, but at a low volume level. This machine is not built to be used in a busy office, but will produce sufficient quality in text documents that will be good enough for research papers and order forms. The 800 is a monochrome inkjet printer that is compatible with most operating systems and connects to a computer via USB or parallel ports.
The maximum output rate of this inkjet all-in-one is 2 pages per minute, which will be insufficient in an office environment, but shouldn't be an issue at home. The fax machine can transmit documents in less than a minute and the copier allows users to resize images. The scanner is not a flatbed surface, so only single sheets of paper can be scanned.
As a monochrome printer, only black Canon 800 ink is used. This machine used drop-on-demand inkjet technology, so small dots of Multipass 800 ink are pushed through nozzles and applied to the paper. This printer ink also dries quickly, so there should be no running or smudging. Each Canon 800 ink cartridge can yield up to 2,000 pages before expiring, which will minimize the cost per page. Replacement Multipass 800 ink cartridges can be purchased from various online vendors.
The 100-sheet input tray sits on the top of the machine and supports a number of paper types, such as envelopes, glossy paper and transparencies. The output tray slides out of the bottom and can only hold about 50 documents. The Canon 10 ink can render a resolution of 360x360 dpi, which will make for decent text document but blurry graphics.

Warranty for Compatible/Remanufactured Products
Based on our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, Ink Technologies will accept returns of compatible or remanufactured ink and toner cartridges for full credit if the returned product has a valid return authorization number and is received in our warehouse within 6 months of the original shipping date. If there is a confirmed print quality issue, only 1 set of opened products will be accepted for credit returns, and only if less than 30% of the ink or toner has been used.
Ink Technologies will replace defective compatible or remanufactured products free of charge if the products are returned within 1 year of the original ship date, and provide a return shipping tag for return of the product.
