Canon 3300 Printer Review
The Canon imageRUNNER 3300 was built for offices that need a lot of prints and a lot of power. With the ability to produce up to 120,000 pages a month, large offices will find that their needs are more than met with this monochrome laser printer. Needing only one Canon 3300 toner cartridge for operation, this machine isn't high maintenance, and 128 MB of RAM is included upon purchase. A 5.1 GB hard disk drive is also included. Printing, scanning, copying and faxing, the 176.3 pound machine is fully loaded to handle nearly task you need to perform. It does take up a lot of space though, at 40.2x22.25x26.75 inches in size.
The printer portion of the machine produces documents at a decent speed of 33 pages per minute. Copies can be produced at this speed too using Canon 3300 toner, but the resolutions differ a little. When printing, the imageRUNNER 3300 toner can reach resolutions as high as 2400x600 dpi. When copying, resolutions of only 1200x600 dpi can be produced with the same printer toner. The copier also has the ability to reduce and enlarge documents from 25% to 800% in 1% increments. With increments that small users are given the option to print virtually any document exactly the way they want it. The copier can also produce up to 999 copies from an original document using Canon 3300 toner. The first page out can be copied in only 5.8 seconds.
As far as the fax feature goes, this machine is quite impressive, taking only 3 seconds to send and receive documents. The reason these faxes send so quickly has a lot to do with the 33.6 Kbps modem speed. Ethernet and parallel connectivity are also featured. The best thing about this unit though, is probably the low operating cost thanks to inexpensive imageRUNNER 3300 toner cartridges. The toners also have a large page yield of 15,000 pages.
