The Canon imageRUNNER 3030 comes from a long line of large office copiers. A multi-function machine, the 3030 takes it a step further printing, copying and scanning documents as well. Because this is a monochrome machine, it won't offer color functions like a lot of models in the market, so if color capabilities are a deal breaker, buyers need to look elsewhere. With speeds of 30 pages per minute using Canon 3030 toner, it should keep up with most offices quite well. However, it is not the fastest unit out there by a long shot. There are similar machines that have the same functions that work at speeds of up to 50 pages per minute. Speed is something to keep in mind, but for offices that don't produce more than 30 copies at a time these speeds shouldn't really be an issue, especially when it can produce a first page out in under 4.2 seconds.

Inside the unit, there is only one black Canon 3030 toner cartridge. This black printer toner can last a maximum of 21,000 pages, which is a great relief when there are toners out there that produce thousands less but cost the same price. The high yielding Canon 3030 toner is also great when the monthly duty cycle is taken into consideration. The monthly duty cycle is 24,000 pages a month, and most companies probably won't ever reach that, meaning users probably won't need to replace their Canon imageRUNNER 3030 toner very often at all.

When it does come time to change the printer toner, though, consider using remanufactured Canon imageRUNNER 3030 toner cartridges from third party vendors. These toners cost a fraction of the OEM price but they work just as well as the original. That means that the already affordability of the machine can be taken down even more.
