Built with large offices in mind, the Canon imageRUNNER 2830 is a copier, scanner, printer and fax machine all in one. Able to produce 105,000 documents every month, buyers will be happy with the unit's capabilities. The 105,000 page monthly duty will keep up with large offices easily. Upon purchase, it comes with 256 MB of memory, but there is an optional 20 GB of HDD available if needed. With 100 mailboxes supported and a maximum copy reservation of 5 jobs, users will find everything they need an more within the context of this 29.9x22.25x27.6 inch machine. Weighing 152 pounds, it will be a little heavy for many buyers, but it shouldn't be too much for offices used to units like this.

As far as speeds go, this unit is pretty fair. While the 28 page per minute speeds when using the imageRUNNER 2830 toner cartridges may not seem that fast compared to the competition, for most offices those speeds will do just fine. However, for offices that are constantly printing large amounts of documents at a time, there may be better units out there on the market. The first copy can be produced in around 4.9 seconds, though, which is relatively fast. Faxes will only take about 3 seconds to be received too, which is pretty good in comparison to many fax units.

Only one Canon 2830 toner cartridge is used for prints, copies and faxes. This one imageRUNNER 2830 toner lasts for 21,000 pages, and the printer toner is filled with black toner only. The Canon 2830 toner will create resolutions of up to 1200x600 dpi when copying. While printing, with the printer toner, resolutions as high as 2400x600 dpi can be reached. With resolutions like that, buyers will have nothing to complain about, and it will be relatively easy to maintain too.
