Canon 2800 Printer Review
Though buyers may find the upfront price a little expensive, larger offices will benefit greatly from the addition of the Canon imageRUNNER 2800. It can copy, scan, fax and print, and this large 40.2x22.25x26.75 inch machine holds a lot of power inside. The 2800 is quite monstrous, though, weighing 176.3 pounds. Only one Canon 2800 toner cartridge is used for operation, meaning maintaining the machine will be a breeze. Mac and Windows operating systems are both supported and parallel and ethernet connective options come standard. A duty cycle of 100,000 pages per month will make a convenient fit in most large offices. About 128 MB of RAM come standard, and there is hard disk of 5.1 GB.
The one printer toner needed inside is a black imageRUNNER 2800 toner cartridge. This printer toner will yield 15,000 pages before needing replaced, which should last a decent amount of time. Copies and prints can be produced in as fast as 28 pages per minute using the Canon 2800 toner. Resolutions as high as 2400x600 dpi are possible when printing with the imageRUNNER 2800 toner. When copying, though, the highest resolution possible using these toners is 1200x600 dpi.
The copier offers 256 gradations of gray, as well as a first copy out time of only 5.8 seconds. With help from Canon 2800 toner, up to 99 copies can be made from each original document. Reductions and enlargements are also offered from 25%-800%. These reductions and enlargements can be done in 1% increments, meaning every document will look precise and fit the needs of each user.
When it comes to fax speed, the 2800 is quite quick. Faxes can be sent and received in a little less than 3 seconds due to the machine's 33.6 Kbps modem speed. An additional feature the 2800 offers is a duplex printing automatic document feeder; however, this is not standard and must be added separately.
