Canon 2210 Printer Review
The Canon imageCLASS 2210 is a laser copier with a sharp design and some great features, though its print speeds of up to 16 pages per minute might seem limited to many buyers. A simplified control panel makes it easy to get started, and the device is very simple to set up. Printer toner is affordable, as the price for Canon 2210 toner is inexpensive.
The 2210 includes many features that users will expect from a modern copier, such as Scan-Once-Print-Many technology. This allows the machine to scan a page and store it in memory for subsequent copies, eliminating the need to rescan, and also reducing wear and tear on components. Buyers can choose to add an optional network printing module, which comes with an ethernet port for connecting to a network. There is also an optional faxing module that can handle transmission speeds of 33.6 Kbps and adds even more functionality for users who need it.
The cost of toners is a bit of a sticking point for this model. Canon 2210 toner cartridges tend to be pricier than competing models, which can make the cost of replacing imageCLASS 2210 toner greater over time. The imageCLASS 2210 toner cartridges do have a large capacity of 10,000 pages, however.
When compared to other models in its class, the 2210 doesn't have many advantages. The ability to use it as a copier and add faxing and printing at a later time is a nice feature, but it is quite a bit slower than many at its price point, and the extra cost of Canon 2210 toner is a considerable hurdle.
Overall, the Canon 2210 is a well-built, reliable device with decent speed and good output quality. Unfortunately, it lags behind many of its competitors in quite a few areas, making it difficult to recommend.
