The Canon imageRUNNER 2016 (also referred to as the 2016i) is a multifunction laser printer designed for the small or medium office environment. It utilizes Canon's RAPID Fusing Technology to deliver fast performance and reduce energy consumption. Print speeds are fast, at up to 16 pages per minute, and it can print, copy, and fax. Printer toner costs are low, thanks to inexpensive imageRUNNER 2016 toner cartridges.

The 2016 includes a network port for connecting it directly to an ethernet network. This allows multiple users to send documents to the machine for printing, which is ideal for a multi-user environment. It can also be connected to a single machine via USB cable. Not only does the 2016 have many great features in its standard configuration, but many upgrades are available as well. A 50-sheet automatic document feeder can be added for additional scanning and faxing convenience, and memory upgrades are available. The paper capacity can be upgraded to a maximum of 1,080 sheets for busy offices.

Canon 2016 toner cartridges have a large capacity of 8,300 pages, which translates to a very low cost per page that will save money on toners for the lifetime of the printer.
