All-in-one units such as the MFC-P2500 are designed specifically for workgroup use and add convenience by combining multiple devices into one compact machine. With the ability to print, copy and scan, this printer will not only conserve space but also increase the efficient use of time. Unfortunately, faxing is not one of the available functions.

Only one Brother MFC-P2500 toner cartridge is used to operate this multi-function machine and it contains black printer toner. The standard size toners have the ability to print as many as 3,000 pages. High quality Brother MFC-P2500 toner cartridges can produce as many as 6,000 pages before expiring. When replacements are required, they can be found online or from the manufacturer.

When printing or copying, as many as 12 pages per minute can be produced. Though this speed is below average for a device intended for office use, it should suffice for smaller offices. The Brother MFC-P2500 toner has the ability to produce resolutions as high as 600x600 dpi. When scanning, the same resolution can be achieved.

The maximum paper capacity is 250 sheets of standard sized paper. Other media types that can be printed on include poster board, labels, envelopes and greeting cards. Though there is not flatbed scanner, a USB and parallel connection are available. There is a built-in memory of 4 MB, but it can be upgraded all the way up to 20 MB.
