Not many years ago, a personal laser printer would have been too expensive to purchase, but now, models like the Brother HL-2275DW are almost as affordable as in inkjet model. This unit can reach speeds of up to 27 pages per minute, has sharp 2400x600 dpi output, and benefits from inexpensive Brother HL-2275DW printer toner supplies to make it an affordable solution for the individual.

As the model name implies, the HL-2275DW includes both duplexing for two-sided prints, and wireless support for connecting to a Wi-Fi network for sharing. This actually allows the unit to be a little more than a personal printer, accessible from multiple machines, but it doesn't have the capacity to handle a lot of printing volume. WPS and AOSS support make setting it up with a wireless network as easy as pushing a few buttons, as long as the router supports the protocols as well.

The input paper tray can hold up to 250 sheets, but it is not expandable, though a single-sheet bypass slot is available for alternate media. The Brother HL-2275DW has the same fast 27 pages per minute speeds of other models in its line, but adds the convenience of wireless networking and duplexing. Its low price and compact size are perfect for individual users, and its 250-sheet paper tray should be roomy enough for a busy personal user.

The status of the Brother HL-2275DW toner cartridge can be monitored by the Toner light on the top panel. When the light stays lit, it is time for a new cartridge. Pull the front access panel toward you and rotate it all the way down. You will now see the cartridge assembly. Grasp the handle and pull it toward you to remove it.

The cartridge needs to be removed from the drum assembly. There is a small lever at the front left of the assembly to release the cartridge, then you can rotate it upward and lift it out.

Unpack your new Brother HL-2275DW toner cartridge, taking it out of the box and removing it from packing materials. Lastly, remove it from the bag. Notice the plastic protector, but don’t remove it yet. Rock your cartridge back and forth a few times first to redistribute the toner within. Now you can remove the protector.

Insert the new HL-2275DW cartridge into the drum assembly at a slight angle, then rotate it downward and press to lock it into place. On the back of the assembly, you should clean the corona wire before you reinstall it. Simply slide the cleaning tab from side to side several times, then click it back into place in its starting position.

Place the entire assembly into the opening of the printer, and press firmly to make sure it seats itself properly, then close the access panel to complete the installation.
