Although the Brother HL-2150 doesn’t have wireless support like the HL-2170W model, it does include an ethernet port for those with a wired network. It is designed for sharing among a few users in a small office, though its 250-sheet paper tray could be a bit limiting for larger shared environments.

The toner light on the control panel is designed to warn you when the toner supply is getting low by flashing, and a steady light means the Brother HL-2150 toner cartridge is empty and needs to be replaced.

Before you start, press the power button to turn the printer off, then you can open the front access panel. You should see a small handle that you can pull out toward you.

Place this entire assembly on a table surface so that you can separate the drum assembly from the HL-2150 toner cartridge. Press the lock lever, then grasp the cartridge and tilt it up slightly to remove it.

Prepare your new Brother HL-2150 toner by opening the box and discarding any packing materials, then open and remove the bag. Before you remove the cover, distribute the toner inside by rocking the cartridge side to side multiple times, then remove the protective cover.

Place your new HL-2150 toner cartridge into the drum assembly and snap it into place, then rotate the assembly to clean the corona wire. Find the tab near the rear of the assembly, and slide it side to side a few times, then put it back into its original position.

Place the Brother HL-2150 toner cartridge and drum assembly back into the printer, close the panel, and press the power button to turn the unit back on.
