It actually manages both of these tasks very well, though its copying capability is limited by its lack of a flatbed scanner. The fax portion of the 4750E is equipped with a Super G3 fax modem capable of transmitting at up to 33.6 kbps, but it can also slow down to accommodate slower fax machines. It also has a handset, which is a bit of a rarity in similar multifunction devices. Secure fax reception is supported, to keep prying eyes away from sensitive documents, and the unit can store up to 232 locations for quick dialing. Copying is basic, but usable. Despite its design as a fax machine primarily, the Intellifax 4750E is actually quite a good laser printer. Print speed is fairly fast, at 15 pages per minute. Print quality is excellent, with sharp and detailed text and decent graphics quality.

Overall, the Brother Intellifax 4750E is a very good fax machine and a good copier and printer. Users who plan to do a lot of copying may want to look for a machine with a flatbed scanner.
