What’s New at HP?
There are some exciting things happening at HP lately, from breaking a Guinness World Record for speed to new technologies that make sharing photos a captivating experience. Here are a few of the highlights.
New Technologies
HP has released a few new mobile apps that integrate with their ePrint platform or, simply, operate on their own.
The HP ePrint App for iOS devices can help users send their documents to an ePrint compatible printer easily. Users simply need to download the app to their device and set it up with the printer using their mobile number. From there, it is easy to send documents and photos to their printer through the cloud.
With HP’s new Live Photo app, users can print a special still frame photo to share with friends or family. When others view the photo through the app, the photo comes to life as a video right before their eyes. See it in action in this video:

Notable Printer Models
The HP Officejet Pro X series is noted as the world’s fastest desktop printer, and it has even been verified by the Guinness World Records organization! Those expecting a color laser might be surprised that all of the models in the series use HP ink instead, and they utilize HP’s new Page-Wide Technology for faster, sharper single-pass printing in inkjet models.
As a more affordable choice, the HP Deskjet 3510 e-All-in-One printer handles printing, scanning, and copying, but is still priced low enough for home users on a budget. With built-in Wi-Fi and support for HP’s ePrint technology, it is quite a capable device at such a low price. Best of all, Deskjet 3510 ink cartridges are quite affordable.
For those in need of a laser model, the new HP LaserJet Pro MFP M521dn just won PC Magazine’s Editor’s Choice award, thanks to its high-quality text and excellent paper handling. It is also very capable when it comes to scanning, with the ability to send documents directly to email addresses. Its touchscreen control panel is also a nice feature, and prices for HP toner are quite affordable.
New Initiatives
HP has lately been touting their Support Forums for printers and all-in-one devices. This is a place for users to discuss problems, share tips, or generally just get in touch with other HP printer users. HP support staff also monitor the forums and provide solutions as well. You may just find that other users can help you solve your problem right away and save you a call to support.
HP is also proud of its Product Return and Recycling program, and for good reason! Since the program started in 1987, they have recovered around 2.3 billion pounds of products that would otherwise have turned into waste. These products are reused or recycled, helping keep them out of landfills. Also, don’t forget that Ink Technologies offers its own Recycling Program as well.
