St. Patrick’s Day Food, Folks, and Fun

It’s almost here! That special day is upon us, when pinching a person for not wearing green isn’t discouraged. St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and you can make this holiday fabulous with a little preparation.

Food

When you think about St. Patrick’s Day feasts, odds are the first thing that comes to mind is corned beef and cabbage. Here’s a simple corned beef and cabbage recipe you can throw in the crock pot and forget about, freeing you up for bigger and better things. For example, why should kids have all the fun at school, when you can bring these great treats to the office and bring a smile to the faces of all your co-workers? The rainbow gelatin looks amazing, and with the corned beef and cabbage cooking, you’ll have plenty of time to put it all together (allow 15-30 minutes cooling time between colors).

Father’s Day Print-Outs and Ideas

Most dads are pretty hard to find gifts for. Maybe it’s because they are content with what they’ve got, or because they don’t like to see us spending money on them. After all, many fathers or father-figures are the ones who taught us the value of saving, budgeting and investing well. Nevertheless, Father’s Day is coming soon and it’s time to shower our appreciation on them anyway. But honoring our fathers doesn’t have to cost a lot; it just has to be sincere. Check out some of our Father’s Day print-outs and find the perfect gift to give your dad.

Make Him Smile

Dads carry a lot of responsibilities on their shoulders. Sometimes the best way to ease all of their worries is with an invitation to laugh. Check out a few clever Star Wars cards that you can personalize, or vintage photographs that will bring out his quirky sense of humor. Get younger kids involved in honoring dad too by coloring a gift for him.

Touch His Sentimental Side

Dads need to know we love them too. If you’ve wanted to have a heart to heart with your dad, maybe Father’s Day is just the inspiration you need. Share it in a card that he can frame so he can hang it where he can remember it throughout the year.

Treat Him

Have you heard that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach? (There could be some truth to that for all of us, dad or not.) Print out a coupon to his favorite restaurant or with a promise to make him a homemade meal. Does he have a sweet tooth? Remind him of how great he is with every cupcake he eats. If he is more in to salty snacks or beverages, package a few choices and let him choose what show to watch tonight.

See what other ideas suit your father with our other Father’s Day printables. Make it a special day for him.
