3D Printing Provides a Creative Outlet

Whether your creativity comes out best in the kitchen or with a paint brush in hand, you might be interested to know what’s new in the world of 3D printing.

A Blank Slate

MakerBot, a 3D printer manufacturer, has provided a different kind of canvas for both well established artists and aspiring artists alike. The 3D form is named Zee and is a figure with a very simple human-like body without any hair or expression. Zee was inspired by blank vinyl toys in Japan when design head Lane Feuer noticed them. MakerBot sent 30 of the Zee dolls to leading artists from around the world. The results were fascinating.

Technology news pages are all abuzz with the new Apple products and functions revealed last Tuesday. Say goodbye to iPods, and hello to smaller, sleeker devices that can do so much more. Have you had time to check them out?

It’s More Than a Tablet

Along with the anticipated iPhone 6 with its thinner, stronger shell, Apple also unveiled the iPhone 6 Plus “phablet,” which has higher resolution within its 5.5 inch frame. Internally, it is much the same as the iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 Plus comes with a 64-bit A8 processor, but also carries a brand new camera sensor and optical image stabilization. Like the iPhone 6, it is set to hit the market in a matter of days. Look for it on September 19th.
