Home and small offices need serious printing with features and software to make their business run smoother. The Xerox Phaser 860 printer series is a great selection for these needs. The TekColor correction and Auto Install features allow you to get up and running to print in a matter of minutes. The TekColor correction on the Xerox 860 automatically changes and adjusts color variations to create pristine documents without your constant attention. The free Printing Scout, standard on all but the 860/B, will alert you to any needs during the printing process to correct parameters as you print saving you time and money. A powerful 250 MHz processor and Post Script3 printing language further increase the printers’ capabilities.

Along with these features the Xerox 860 is a solid ink printer. The solid ink does not have a fuser and therefore has quicker first page prints than comparably priced laserjets. It should be noted that the initial warm up for a solid ink printer is a bit longer as it needs to melt the ink for printing; this can be alleviated by keeping the printer on 24 hours a day. The Xerox 8600 printers print at speeds of 16 pages per minute on the fast color setting and 10 pages per minute on the quick setting.

The maximum input capacity is 1,200 sheets which is perfect for the home and small business. Duplex printing is available on the Xerox 860/DP and 860/DX to further increase your efficiency. Networking is made possible through standard USB and parallel connections and the embedded print server is available on the 860/N, 860/DP, and 860/DX models.
