The Xerox Phaser 850 has fewer moving and replaceable parts than laserjet printers which lowers wear and tear and operating costs. The few consumables you will use are easy to install, even during a print job. User reviews have rated this series very high due to its ease of use. The Xerox 850 solid ink printer series offers three models with varying features and options to a small business or workgroup. All of the printers come with 10/100BaseT Ethernet, USB and bi-directional parallel ports for your network connectivity.

The 850 DX has all the bells and whistles to impress and engage any user. A 6 GB hard drive along with 128 MB memory is standard. While the 850 N and 850 DP are lower at 32 MB and 64 MB respectively and the hard drive is an optional enhancement. All the models have a maximum of 256 MB of memory giving you the ability to upgrade as your business demands change and grow. Double sided printing is built into the Xerox 850 DX and the 850 DP.

To provide laserjet quality color Xerox and Tektronix developed the solid ink technology. Solid ink only requires to be warmed up after the printer is first turned on, unlike laser jets which need to warm a fuser to print. You can reduce this time by leaving the printer on, but this increases the energy consumption. An inkjet printer needs to use higher priced media types and paper to achieve top quality resolutions. Xerox 850 N, 850 DP and 850 DX printers can print on almost any surface and produce beautiful prints time after time.
