The Xerox Phaser 8200 is an affordable alternative to laserjet and inkjet printers. With a combination of solid ink technology, which is only available from Xerox, embedded print servers, and memory expansion you will find it easy to use and able to meet your business demands. BLI, an independent testing organization, has rated the Xerox 8200 series as a “Pick of the Year.”

The Xerox 8200 series of printers has great connectivity and networking options. The 8200/B comes with a bi-directional port and USB connections but cannot be upgraded with the internal print server. The other models, the 8200/N, 8200/DP and 8200/DX, all have the internal print server standard in addition to the USB and bi-directional parallel port.

Standard memory on the Xerox 8200 printers depends on the model, but all can be upgraded to 256 MB. The base model 8200/B and the 8200/N have 64 MB, while the 8200/DX and 8200/DP have 192 MB and 128 MB of memory respectively. The 8200/DX has a 10 GB hard disk to store frequently used fonts and documents for your convenience; however, the lower end models have this as an optional enhancement.

Because of its low cost and laserjet speeds, the Xerox 8200 solid ink printers have given businesses an effective alternative to laserjet and inkjet printers. The memory on the Xerox Phaser 8200 printers is coupled with the solid ink technology which produces truer color and consistent prints on almost any media type. The solid ink is unique; it heats the ink, making it liquid upon start up, and saving you time waiting for the first page to print. The first page is printed in less than 9 seconds in full color and has print speeds close to 16 pages per minute.
