The Xerox WorkCentre 450C is an inkjet unit that can do just about anything. Copying, faxing, printing and scanning, black-and-white and color documents can be produced. The only downside with the 450C is its slow speeds. Though it can create great images, it takes quite awhile to do so. The quality of prints is decent using Xerox 450C ink, and only four WorkCentre 450C ink cartridges are needed for printing. These tanks are filled with black, cyan, magenta and yellow printer ink.
The copier only has the ability to create 3 pages per minute using Xerox 450C ink. The highest possible resolution available is 300x300 dpi, and up to 99 copies can be made from an original page. Document enlargement maxes out at 150%, and reductions can happen up to 75%.
Using black or color WorkCentre 450C ink, resolutions of 600x600 dpi can be reached while printing. The speeds for printing aren't very fast either. With the black printer ink, only 6 pages per minute can be printed, and in color only one page will print per minute. This could be quite a hindrance and annoyance for some users. Most don't want to find themselves sitting at the printer for hours on end waiting for a few prints. For those who print only occasionally, it will be a great fit.
The scanner and fax machine options are also impressive. The fax machine and scanner can reach an optical resolution of 300x300 dpi. The transmission speeds of the fax are 14.4 Kbps, and the unit has a total memory capacity of 23 pages. Error Correction Mode, or ECM, features are also included.
Many different media types can be printed on using the Xerox 450C ink cartridges. Envelopes, labels, plain paper and transparencies are all compatible. All around, for those who don't print often, the 450C inkjet printer is a great option offering decent quality for an affordable price.
