LED laser printers are generally faster and cleaner then inkjets and have good print speeds. Laserjets offer great color quality but it takes time to print even shorter documents. This is not the case with the Xerox 2135 color laser printers. They print at speeds of up to 21 pages per minute in full color made possible by the LED single pass technology. This transfers all of the color at the same time, and reduces wear on mechanical components. Available models are the 2135, 2135N, 2135DT, and 2135DX.

The color production is a little less than desirable on the default setting; you will need to use an enhanced setting to achieve good resolutions and photo reproduction. A great 512 MB of maximum memory coupled with a 500 MHz processor powers this super fast printer. Base memory on the models differs from 128 MB on the 2135 N model to 256 MB on the 2135 DX.

Setting up 2135 is simple using the auto install feature. With this feature, the 2135 literally sets up itself and is ready to go in minutes. The toner cartridge is easily installed also. An internal hard drive of 5 GB can hold new fonts, frequently used documents and project related forms to save space on your desktop and network; this is an optional upgrade on the 2135N.

Printer toner cartridges for the Xerox 2135 color laser printer come in two different sizes. The standard capacity color laser toner cartridge has a capacity of 7,500 pages per cartridge. High capacity Phaser 2135 toner cartridges are more economical as they cut down on the cost per page. These Xerox 2135 toner cartridges have a capacity of 15,100 pages per cartridge.

Networking is possible on the 2135 through the USB, parallel or 10/100Base TX ethernet ports. Setting the network configurations can be tricky, but Xerox has included a good installation booklet and a CD-ROM user's manual to help you along the way.
