Ink Technologies Quality Standards

At Ink Technologies, we purchase quality compatible and remanufactured printer cartridge products directly from the manufacturer – we do not use middlemen. This allows us to maintain clear accountability for quality. Although we do not manufacture printer cartridge products ourselves, we maintain extremely stringent standards of quality with our manufacturing partners. We closely monitor defect rates based on customer returns, and make sure that each manufacturer meets defect rate standards that are comparable to OEM/ brand name products.

Quality Standards Certifications

We also make sure that our manufacturers maintain the highest certification levels for quality. These certifications are all provided by independent certification and testing organizations:

ISO 9001 Certification

The ISO 9000 family of standards is published by the International Organization for Standardization. ISO 9001 certifies that the design and manufacture of ink and toner cartridges meet quality requirements. ISO 9001 specifies a stringent set of management standards that must be fulfilled in order to achieve certification.

ISO 14001 Certification

The ISO 14000 family of standards addresses management processes that minimize impact to the environment and maximizes efficient use of resources. The ISO 14001 certification, for the design and manufacture of ink and toner cartridges, ensures manufactures follow practices that minimize their environmental impact.

STMC Certification

STMC certification is for quality assurance test methods related to ink and toner cartridge performance quality. The Standardized Test Methods Committee has developed test methods that are used to evaluate a finished printer cartridge in comparison to a brand name or OEM cartridge.

IECQ Certification

IECQ certification – the International Electrotechnical Commission Quality system is a quality assurance and efficiency certification process for electrical and electronic components. If a printer cartridge manufacturer holds an IECQ certification, it ensures that all components in their supply chain meet the same quality standard.

Rochester Institute of Technology Independent Testing

Rochester Institute of Technology provides independent testing of product quality performance for ink and toner cartridges. Similar to STMC certification, positive test results from the RIT provides certification of high product quality.
