This multifunction unit is equipped with 600 by 600 dpi and is fairly quiet while printing although you wouldn't want a baby in the room at the same time. You can extend the life of the toner cartridges by choosing the toner saver setting. This does, however, reduce your resolution to 300 by 300 dpi. Still, not too shabby for its price.
