For less than $200.00 you can have great print speeds coupled with multifunctional capabilities in the Samsung SCX-4200. The printer is surprisingly small and weighs just over 20 pounds, not bad for an all in one unit. The small 14.30 inch by 16.1 inch footprint can be placed almost anywhere in your office. Although the printer lacks the ability to fax you can get around this buy scanning to email. There are also some interesting features for copying.
You can use a “clone” setting in which an image is repeated on the page similar to tiling an image. It of course has the usual settings and enlarging options found on most printers. Toner cartridge life can be lengthened by applying the toner save mode, but you will see a decline in the print quality. The print quality is well above average on the SCX-4200, and prints close to 14 pages per minute, and about 6 pages per minute with monochrome graphics. Keep in mind that different page sizes and the complexity of said document will affect the speed of printing.
Although the Samsung SCX-4200 has only a single USB port for connections they offer a network adapter for a bit more. You can find network adapters from other companies as well.
