Sturdy handles allow for easy movement of this surprisingly small workgroup or personal laser printer at a mere 11 inches tall. It weighs about 22 pounds and with its compact design it will fit nicely on your desk. While networking is not standard you can add an Ethernet or WiFi link for extra dollars. It is equipped with USB and parallel ports. The minimal 16 MB of memory is acceptable for a single user but if a small workgroup plans on using it, the maximum of 144 MB should probably be utilized.
Toner cartridges for the ML 2250 and ML 2251n use extremely low cost toner cartridges at pennies per page. Although able to handle a small workgroup the ML 2250 series only has a maximum of 500 input sheets which may not cover your printing demands. The Samsung ML 2251n is a network ready workgroup laser for the budget minded shopper at $300.00. Text is presented well for its class even in cursive and script styled fonts. The printer does print at 20 pages per minute on average just like the ML 2250 series.
There is a single button on the control panel that handles six different functions and can be slightly confusing to use. The access panel and input tray panel are located relatively close to each other but it isn’t too hard to figure out which one is which. Your photos, while they won’t be stellar, are presented fairly well with some fading at 9 pages per second; pretty zippy for a smaller monochrome laser printer.
