As the market is filled with varying multifunction units the monochrome laser printer is often overlooked. Why pay for something you don’t need? A personal laser printer from Samsung could fit your needs at home with a line of printers sharing toner cartridges and affordability. Take the Samsung ML-2010 and ML-2015 for example. They are small and easy to move and set up can be done in minutes. A small 150 sheet capacity of input sheets makes them more suited for a student or home.
The above mentioned printers and the ML-2510, ML-2570, and ML-2571 are all rated for 24 page a minute print speeds, but vary slightly from model to model and within each model’s series themselves. These black and white laser printers have USB and parallel parts to connect to your machine at the office or on the network. For networking you will need to contact Samsung to find the exact details, but should be available on some of these models, it is standard on the ML-2571 with a 10/100Base TX Ethernet connection.
Text is presented well, but the graphics production is less than great. If you are not graphics heavy in your printing then you should not have a problem. Have your first page out in less than 10 seconds enabled by the ML-2570’s 400 MHz processor. The other printers have about the same time for first out pages as well. Unfortunately the base memories of these machines are not expandable, but at their price points are still great solutions for a small workgroup or office.
