The Samsung ML-1010 is a monochrome laser printer designed for the home or small office user. Its text quality is excellent and it is reasonably fast, but its lackluster graphics quality may turn away some buyers.
The most appealing aspect of the ML-1010 might be its very affordable price. Users who work in tight office spaces will also appreciate its compact footprint, which is small enough to share a desk with a computer. Input and output trays are located on the top of the unit, meaning users won't have to leave room in the front for loading paper, either.
The Samsung ML-1010's paper capacity is a little small, like the HP 1020 toner printer, at 150 sheets, but this is certainly a tradeoff for its compact size. Most personal users will find its capacity large enough to suit their needs. The printer can connect to the host computer with either a USB or parallel connection, and it is very easy to set up. In many cases, a driver may not need to be installed, as Windows usually detects the printer and installs the driver automatically.
