The Samsung CLP-660 is a color laser printer aimed at small to medium offices that need a solid laser printer in a relatively compact size. Unlike some printers that do the duplex printing internally, the CLP-660ND ejects the page and then pulls it back in for printing on the other side. This can sometimes lead to mechanical problems.

In a small to medium office, the Samsung CLP-660 toners will probably not have to be replaced very often. Black toner cartridges have a good capacity of 5,500 pages, and the color cartridges have a capacity of 5,000 pages.

Overall, print quality for the Samsung CLP-660 for black text is excellent, very clear and sharp. Color printing leaves a little to be desired, but it is adequate for the occasional color business document or pamphlet. Photo quality is lacking, as with most laser printers like the Xerox toner printers. Users who need to print photos should always consider a dedicated photo printer over a laser printer, as they are not designed for this purpose. Print speeds are fast for its price, at about 24 pages per minute, with a first page out time of around 14 seconds.
