The Samsung CLP-350N is a color laser printer designed for the small office or home office user. With its compact size (15.4” wide x 16.5” deep x 10.6” height), it will fit into small spaces, and at only 32.6 pounds, it is easy to move should the need arise.
One surprising feature for such an affordable printer is the built-in ethernet port. This allows the printer to be shared across the network for easy printing from any computer in the office. This feature is becoming more common, but for a printer geared toward personal or small office use, it is a nice bonus.
The printer ships with a 4,000 page black toner cartridge, and 3 color cartridges with a capacity of 2,000 pages each. Toner cartridges are clearly marked and easy to replace by opening the front panel and locking them in place. The paper input tray holds 150 sheets, but an optional 250-sheet tray can be added as an upgrade option, should printing needs expand. Print speed is decent, at 19 pages per minute black and 5 pages per minute color, but these speeds may be too slow for a higher volume office with many users. Print quality is excellent, especially text, and color prints come out looking bright and vivid. The 2400 dpi print resolution makes for very detailed prints.
Overall, the Samsung CL-350N is a great choice for the small or home office. The small paper tray and slower printing speeds will likely turn away users with high-volume needs, but the print quality and included ethernet may balance these drawbacks for the price.
