Because the Ricoh Aficio CL3000 can be plugged directly into a LAN, it can function as your print server if needed. Set up is a breeze if you simply follow the well written instructions in the user's guide and will only take about 20 minutes to get it on your network Drivers for Mac's and PC's, including Windows '98 and Me, come with the printers; additional drivers may be downloaded from the Ricoh site. The CL3000 is one of the smallest laser toner printers around and is designed with workgroups of up to 10 users which is great for smaller workgroups and offices.
A low 64 MB of memory comes installed on the unit and you will more than likely need an upgrade to process larger and more complex print jobs. Color is produced quite well and at 1200 by 1200 dpi resolution due to its 400 MHz processor. Text is printed at 21 pages per minute and color at 15 pages per minute, which is a bit slower than the competition, such as the Oki C5200 toner printer.
