Print quality is excellent using the Ricoh Aficio CL2000N printer. Because the CL 2000N is not being manufactured by Ricoh anymore you can find it for much less. Parts and service are still available. It's a little too big to be placed on your desk and at almost 70 pounds you will need some help moving it, unlike the LaserJet 1600 toner printer. Text is presented in an almost flawless manner, detailed down to even the smallest font sizes leaving nothing to be desired. Color representation is good and prints photos much better than other similar printers. Although the color graphics is delivered well enough for most business applications it does not give the graphics need for a high demanding print specific office.

The cyan, yellow, magenta and black color toner cartridges are some of the most inexpensive on the market and will save you in the long run. They also yield slightly more than LaserJet 2840 toner. The CL2000N is compatible with PC and Mac environments; Vista users will need to check with Ricoh for drivers and software for Vista. Connect to your network using the standard 10/100Base TX ethernet or use the serial, parallel and USB connections.

Print speeds are inline with the printer's features and price at 16 pages per minute for both color and black and white print jobs, which is a bit slower than competing models, such as the magicolor 2430 toner printer. The Ricoh CL2000N prints well on glossy stock, even on both sides although that is not recommended by most manufacturers. The unit is a bit noisy when printing, but that is a minor downside compared to the speeds and networkability paired with its low price.
