Be careful of
outdated or poor quality solid ink or toner when shopping
online. Know what you're buying and check the seller's
guarantee and warranty policies.
Many retailers or auction sellers do not
provide a quality guarantee, technical support after your
purchase, or satisfaction guarantee
- we do!

How Phaser®
Solid-Ink Printers Work
Cyan, magenta, yellow, and black sticks of crayon-like ink are installed in the
printer, then melted during printing.
The
ink sticks are melted in a reservoir and then sprayed
through piezoelectric nozzles onto the rotating imaging drum
to form the image. The paper is then taken from the paper
tray and slightly heated. The paper passes between the drum
and a hard rubber pressure roller, transferring the image to
the paper. The solid ink solidifies instantly and does not
bleed into the paper fibers or make the paper damp as in
inkjet printing.
