The Okidata C9200 color laser printer is designed for the small or medium office environment. It has the ability to handle large media and the expandability to grow with any office size. For smaller volume printing, check out units that feature FX-9 toner.

The Oki C9200 color laser printer comes in three configurations. The C9200 is the base model, the C9200N includes built-in networking, and the C9200dxn includes automatic duplexing (two-sided printing), extra paper capacity, and built-in networking. Most buyers will probably opt for one of the configurations with networking included, as it allows the unit to be easily connected and shared across a network of computers, but the networking support is also available as an optional upgrade.

The unit has a large paper capacity of 550 sheets right out of the box, but it has a large amount of expandability, with the capability to handle up to 1,650 sheets with paper tray upgrades. One of its standout features is the ability to handle large paper formats, up to a maximum of tabloid extra size, which measures 12 inches by 18 inches.

The machine measures 18.2 inches by 26.2 inches by 23.2 inches and weighs a hefty 155 pounds. It is also worth noting that adding paper trays will significantly affect the unit's size.

Okidata C9200 toner cartridges have a large capacity of 15,000 pages for each color laser toner cartridge, and 15,000 pages for each black printer toner cartridge, which is higher than competing toner such as HP C9730A toner. The large capacity of the C9200 cartridges results in a very low cost per page, and makes it a very economical printing solution.

Print speed is very fast, at up to 26 pages per minute in black, and 21 pages per minute in color. Text quality is very sharp and detailed. Graphics and photo quality is also excellent, though not quite as impressive as Brother TN210Y tonercan produce.

Overall, the Oki C9200 should appeal most to those who need expandability, high-quality color prints, or those who do a lot of large format printing. Its affordable toner costs are also a bonus.
