The Okidata C6150 is a color LED printer designed for the small or medium office environment. Its print quality is excellent and it has generous paper capacity. It comes in multiple configurations to meet different needs.
Although very similar to a laser printer, the OKI C6150 is actually an LED printer. It uses LED (light emitting diode) technology to print. LED printing has fewer moving parts, and can be more reliable than laser printers, but is sometimes slower, but not in the case of the Okidata C6150.
The C6150 is not the smallest of printers. Measuring 13.4 inches by 17.1 inches by 22.1 inches, it takes up a lot of depth. The printer weighs around 57 pounds, so you don’t want to have to move it often, either. The C6150 comes in different configurations, allowing it to meet different needs. Its “n” models include built-in ethernet networking, allowing it to be connected directly to a network. Its “d” models include automatic duplexing, or two-sided printing.
All configurations come with a roomy paper capacity of 400 sheets, and the printer can handle multiple media sizes up to banner size sheets. All models also include a variety of security features, such as password protection and data encryption, allowing it to operate well in secure environments.
Okidata C6150 toner costs are reasonable. The C6150 uses four cartridges. Each of the three color cartridges has a capacity of 6,000 pages, and the black cartridge has a capacity of 8,000 pages. By getting third party Okidata C6150 toner you can greatly reduce the cost of printing.
Print quality is excellent. Text is sharp and detailed, though color text tends to be a little fuzzy. Color quality in general is very good from the OKI C6150 toner, and photo quality is above average of what a typical laser printer can do. Print speeds, often a concern with LED printers, are very fast. The printer can print 32 pages per minute in black and up to 26 pages per minute in color, a very impressive speed.
Overall, the C6150 has the fast speeds and multiple configurations to fit almost any office environment. Fuzziness in color text is the only small downside.
