The Okidata C6000n is a color laser printer designed for small to medium sized offices. Its design is compact, but somewhat larger and heavier than the smallest laser printers. Unlike smaller printers, this one will not likely take up a space designed for an inkjet printer.
Print speed is good. At 24 pages per minute in black and 20 pages per minute in color, it comes in above average for its range. Print quality is generally excellent, but text quality suffers a bit on small fonts, where prints tend to lose some sharpness. This will likely not be a concern for average users, but offices that do a lot of small print (such as a law office) may want to look elsewhere. Graphics quality is average, making it fine for interoffice use, but not high enough quality for production work. Photo quality leaves a little to be desired, but is not likely to be an issue for most office environments.
Paper capacity is 400 pages, and can be expanded by 540 more pages with an optional drawer, purchased separately. The extra capacity sets it apart from other printers which offer most of the same features and quality but only 200 pages or fewer input capacity, a problem for high-volume office environments. Toner cartridges have a capacity of 2000 pages, and toner saving features can boost this number even higher. The printer includes USB and ethernet connections for sharing the printer across a network.
Overall, the Okidata C6000n is a good choice for high-volume office environments which need speed and efficiency. Poor text quality on smaller fonts can be an issue, and should certainly be considered if this is a necessity.
