With more technologically advanced office machines, such as scanners, the need for fax machines has been virtually eliminated. There is a standard paper tray that can hold up to 250 sheets and an output tray that will stack up to 10 sheets face-up. A 50-sheet automatic document feeder allows the 5750 to continuously copy and scan multi-page documents. When using it as a laser printer, as many as 10 pages per minute can be produced. Copies are produced at about the same rate.

There is only one Okidata 5750 toner cartridge that is needed for operation, and it holds only black printer toner, meaning only black-and-white documents can be produced. The OkiFax 5750 toner cartridge has a maximum capacity of 3,000 prints, minimizing the cost per page. Using the Okidata 5750 toner, a resolution of 300x300 dpi can be reached, which will produce solid text documents, but complex graphics may come out a bit grainy. Replacement toners are easy to find online and affordable. LED lights will blink when OkiFax 5750 toner levels are low.

The 33.6 Kbps modem speed allows faxes to be send and received in as little as 3 seconds. There are 100 speed dials and a 200-page fax memory that can be upgraded to 520 pages. A Toner Save mode will help reduce the overuse of Okidata 5750 toner. This multipurpose digital fax machine can serve as a laser printer, scanner and copier and will meet the needs of any standard office.
