The Lexmark Z517 color inkjet printer is designed with the home user in mind. Its very low price will appeal to users who need a very basic color printer for light-duty use. Print speeds are decent, at up to 12 pages per minute for black and 7 pages per minute for color. Lexmark Z517 ink costs are a little higher than the competition, so users who do a lot of printing might feel the strain.
The machine is very compact when in operation, though its front output paper tray and its vertical input paper tray on top tend to stick out quite a bit, adding to its size.
