Since the early 80s printers have been being built in masses by various vendors. Some manufacturers have grown into dominance of the market while others still struggle to get the notoriety they deserve. Lexmark is one of the top dogs, making products that are built to be strong and reliable. Lexmark services large businesses mostly, but occasionally makes smaller machines that are meant for personal use. The Lexmark P8350 is an older machine. In comparison to the newer models being designed, the P8350 seems like the first inkjet printer ever made. However, current users know how reliable it is.
The Lexmark P8350 has all of the basic features found on inkjet printers including an input and output tray, navigational buttons on the top panel and a USB connection. However, it does lack the multiple functions that more current devices have. For instance, new Lexmark machines not only print quickly, but they can scan, fax and make copies as well. The P8350 would be more appealing to an office environment if it had this variety of features.
There are only two Lexmark P8350 ink cartridges that are used for operation. One contains only black printer ink and is known as #34. This tank will last almost 500 prints before needing to be replaced. The other Lexmark P8350 ink cartridge has cyan, magenta and yellow ink in it and prints up to 450 pages before it's at the end of its road. This ink is called #35.
When it does come time to get replacements, there will be two options—OEM and remanufactured. The remanufactured Lexmark P8350 ink is available from third party vendors and has the ability to produce the same quality results and last the same amount of time as the OEM version. However, the remanufactured printer ink will cost considerably less.
