Home and small offices users who need an affordable multifunction printer will find a lot to like in the Lexmark P6350. It offers excellent printing, copying, and scanning functions in a compact design at a very affordable price. Print speeds are good, at up to 24 pages per minute for black and 18 pages per minute for color, though printing at the highest quality settings will be much slower. Lexmark P6350 ink costs are on the high side for its class, as proven by lower priced ink such as HP 56 ink.
For a small office space, a compact size is a must. Not only does the Lexmark P6350 take up very little space when in use, but its input and output paper trays can fold down and slide in, respectively, to make its footprint very small. With the trays extended, the unit measures 12.2 inches by 17.2 inches by 20.8 inches, and weighs 13.5 pounds. Only a color Lexmark P6350 inkjet cartridge is included, which can print both color and composite black. For true black, however, users will need to purchase a separate black Lexmark P6350 ink cartridge, which is an added expense. Some units on the market have individual tanks, such as Canon CLI-221C ink.
The Lexmark P6350 can print, scan, and copy. Each of its features is very functional and easy to use. Copying can be done in standalone mode, without the need for a computer connection, and one-touch buttons make it quick and easy to use. In their review of the Lexmark P6350, TomsHardware.com found its compact size and affordable price to be impressive. They disliked its high ink costs and slow printing speeds, however, and would prefer a model with better performing ink, such as Brother LC61M ink.
Overall, users who need a compact machine with great photo-printing features may like the Lexmark P6350, but competing models offer similar functionality for a little higher price but lower ink costs.
