The Lexmark P4350 is a multifunction device designed for the home or small office user. Its compact design and fresh look make it a nice addition to a small modern office. Its high-resolution scanning combine with fast print speeds of 22 pages per minute for black and 15 pages per minute for color to make a versatile and affordable machine. Lexmark P4350 ink cartridges are a bit on the expensive side, however.
The printer uses two Lexmark P4350 inkjet cartridges. The first, included with the machine, includes all three color of cyan, magenta, and yellow. Replacing individual colors is not possible, and unfortunately this can mean wasting ink. The black Lexmark P4350 ink cartridge must be purchased separately. There is also no USB cable included in the box, so this may be an additional expense for some users as well.
The unit can print, scan, and copy. All three features are well-implemented and intuitive to use. There are 1-touch buttons for copying that make it quick and easy to make copies, and copying can be done in standalone mode, without the need for a computer. Scan resolutions are very high, but reviews have shown lackluster scanning quality. The machine includes built-in memory card slots for connecting digital camera cards for direct printing. This is a very handy feature, and users can even use these slots for getting photos from the memory card to their computer.
In their review of the Lexmark P4350, Cnet praised its affordable price and excellent photo quality. They criticized its scanning quality and graphics printing quality, and found its ink costs to be very high, even when using high-yield cartridges.
