The Lexmark E350 series and the E250 monochrome laser printers are great for use in a small home office or a college student’s room for use without color needs. In today’s world it seems that color is all the rage, but a good monochrome laser printer is still an indispensible tool for your business or home. These printers are priced great especially for those on a tight budget but still want high quality text printing; you can find one for under $450.00 almost anywhere printers are sold.
The base model in the E350 series is not network ready and would be well suited for a single office with lower printing demands, but the E350dn has wired networking standard. The extra money is well spent if you plan to expand in the near future. The units only weigh about 25 pounds and are easily moved into position from the box to your office or dorm room, and it measures just 14 inches by 15 or so inches. A no frills printer with great text printing down to fairly small font sizes is very simple to install. Follow the software instructions and you will be fine.
You can upgrade the paper handling capacity to 800 sheets which is more than enough for small businesses and home use. The E250, E352 and E350 all have the option of adding an auto duplexer to perform double sided printing, great for reports and presentations. Toner cartridges are the same for all of these models and are pretty easy to install; refer to your manual for help if you should need it.
