Powered by a 266 MHz processor the Lexmark C720 can produce high quality text for your business or workgroup and is an upgrade to the Lexmark C534 toner printer. Text is delivered in excellent condition and leaves little to be desired. The C720 is a color laser printer but the color abilities of this series is lacking at best. If you print a large amount of full color documents or presentations choose a different printer, but for color nuances and accents the C720 works fine. At a resolution of 2400 dpi and print speeds close to 24 pages per minute for black and white print jobs it will have your productivity up, although the speed of printing in real life does not make it to the 24 pages per minute quote.
A Photo Enhancement Technology will calibrate and adjust for photographs and graphical prints. Again, stick with the grayscale prints if you do not need full color with this printer. The printers do weigh around 85 pounds, but that is to be expected with a business printer and you will need someone to help you move it into place.
Set up is simple for the Lexmark C720, just follow the instructions and the prompts on the screen form the installation software. Optional duplex printing will give you more form your paper budget as it can cut down on paper used for internal reports and decrease storage space for archived documents. Base memory comes standard at 32 MB and can be upgraded to 384 MB via DIMM memory slots. Toner cartridges are typical of mid sized business printers and should give you no trouble during installation or replacement.
