Using an array of LED's lowers the number of moving parts and thus lowers the operating and maintenance costs saving your budget. Toner cartridges are simple and easy to install and help is available should you need it. The 2138 produces crisp text at about 38 pages per minute rated by Lanier. These figures are a bit higher than real world results and your monochrome prints will be a bit slower depending on the file's size.

The Lanier 2138 color laser printer comes network ready and can be connected to your network in no time via a LAN interface much like black and white laser printers have in the past. An extensive guide to networking is included to help you with interfacing to your network platform. Several drivers are included for your convenience and more are available from the Lanier site. The printer series is compatible with a majority of operating systems; Vista users will need to check with Lanier but it is unlikely that it is compatible.

Duplexing is available and standard on some models within the series, as well as hole punching for bound reports, stapling presentations for internal meetings and stacking operations.
