A reliable color laser workgroup printer should deliver quality graphics, have networking capabilities, and be affordably priced. Networking should be in line with your needs and system requirements. Both, the Konica Minolta Magicolor 2300 and 2350 have 10/100Base TX Ethernet interface connections to easily be part of a LAN, and USB and parallel ports for direct connections. The 2300 and 2350 are priced lower than other printers in its class and although Konica Minolta has ceased producing this unit, they do still make replacement parts. Finding a refurbished 2350 or 2300 could save you a portion of your budget.
The Konica Minolta 2300 and 2350 printers were built to be a Windows compatible laser printer series and may not support drivers for Vista. Other operating systems drivers may be available from Konica Minolta or other distributors. One of the only differences is the amount of RAM standard on the two printers; the 2350 has 128 MB and the 2300 has 32 MB. Essentially the Magicolor 2350 is a newer version of the Magicolor 2300.
The Konica toner cartridges can be replaced with high capacity toners to give you 4,500 pages per cartridge on average. The Konica Minolta 2300 toner and 2350 toner printers have a low cost per print at about 7.8 cents per color page at 5% coverage with the high capacity toner cartridges. The toner used in the Magicolor 2300 and 2350 has a glossy shine to it. This has great effects on photo prints. The imaging quality is superb and rivals anything in its class and price point.
