Despite its low price the Konica Minolta Magicolor 2200, and Magicolor 2210 desklaser printers produce great business graphics and text clarity down to 6 point text sizes. The printers use a dithering process to deliver high quality graphics and real color output for your business demands. Toner cartridges for these printers inherently produce glossy finishes adding to the appearance of photo prints and full color documents such as presentations and marketing materials.
The Konica Minolta 2200 and 2210 machines have slight differences in memory and the availability of a hard disk. The Magicolor 2210 has an optional hard disk to store fonts, secure prints and forms for easy access. The Magicolor 2200 comes with 32 MB of RAM upgradeable to 96 MB via one DIMM slot; the 2210 has a base memory of 32 MB but expands to 384 MB RAM. While the printers have the same resolution at 1200 by 600 dpi, they produce graphics a bit differently form each other; the 2210 provides better graphics and text reproduction as it is a newer model.
Laser printers are known for being a bit bulky and heavy, and while the Magicolor 2200 series is no small fry it is smaller than a good majority of in class printers. The Konica Minolta Magicolor 2200 and the 2210 both print at about 20 pages per minute for black and white documents and 5 pages per minute in full color. This is a bit lower than more modern laser printers but a small office could benefit from the low price at which the Magicolor 2200 and Magicolor 2210 series is currently sold.
